You'll find links to other Freespace 2 sites. The corporate links refer to the sites of the makers/distributors of the game. Community pages are more general Descent/Freespace websites. They usually offer a broad range of information, going from pictures, news, patches, ... The fan sites are, well fan sites. Some created them for the love of the game, others are the bastion of multiplayer guilds.
