A New Race Event Stats in Path of Exile 2 on May 25

Looks like it's time for another race event in Path of Exile 2. It's open to all players with the goal being to crown those who prove themselves against others. The racing action begins May 25.

It was back in March of this year when the first ever race event for the game was held. It introduced a new series of Demigod items as prizes. Like with that version, this one also has players compete to be the first one to defeat Doryani in Act 3 in a Standard Solo Self-Found fixed layout environment. Though it's not a Hardcore Event, players incur a penalty when they die and won't be able to move until a one-minute period has lapsed.

To join, all players need to click the "Join" button for the race that's in the Character Select screen. Once that's done they should be prompted to create a character. Once they've spawned in, players won't be able to move their character until the race begins.

Here are the event dates and times:

• Race 1: May 25 at 1:00 p.m. (PDT)

• Race 2: June 1 at 1:00 p.m. (PDT)

• Race 3: June 8 at 1:00 p.m. (PDT)

Up for grabs for the top placement of each class is the Demigod's Virtue Unique item. These are:

• Ranger

• Sorceress

• Witch

• Monk

• Warrior

• Mercenary

• Huntress (New)

What this shows is that in each race, the seven Demigod's Virtues are awarded. Future events are going to include other classes when they're added to Early Access. In a post, the team over at Grinding Gear Games shared that as they release more race events in the future, they'll be cycling "through all the Demigod's items."

By the way, at the end of each race there's going to be a Remove-Only stash tab added in the core leagues. Here players can choose to remove the item from the tab to equip it, show it off, link it to others, or keep it there as a trophy for the ages. Players can also trade it away.
