X-Out Resurfaced

Underwater shoot ’em up where you stop an alien invasion from the depths of the ocean, with a shop system for building your fleet and local 2-player co-op.

X-Out: Resurfaced is a rebuilt version of the underwater shoot ’em up originally released on C64 in 1990. Instead of space, it takes place in underwater worlds, with the player fighting an alien invasion from the depths of the ocean.

The remake features 8 varied stages and updated visuals, with modern high-resolution sprites, particle effects, and lighting. It also includes remastered music by Chris Hülsbeck, along with three new tracks.

The shop system returns with improved features, including preconfigured load-outs, item descriptions, and marked weapon slots. A local 2-player co-op mode is also included.
