Thief: The Dark Project Remastered

A first-person stealth game where you play Garrett, using shadows, sound, and minimal weapons to sneak through maze-like missions, steal treasure, and uncover a story of deception and revenge.

Nightdive Studios brings back the pioneering 3D stealth game from Looking Glass Studios, originally released in 1998. The game was described by its developers as a “first-person sneaker” and used light and sound as mechanics for hiding and sneaking.

The remaster uses Nightdive’s KEX Engine and includes Thief: The Dark Project plus the additional missions, content, and updates from the Thief Gold re-release. It features unscripted, maze-like levels, advanced NPCs that can hear, speak, and sound alarms, and three difficulty settings per mission with different objectives.

Players control Garrett, an orphan trained by the Keepers to become a Master Thief. Missions focus on stealth, treasure collection, and using tools such as a blackjack, sword, and unique arrows.

The release also includes enhanced textures, models, animations, quality of life improvements, a weapons and items wheel, a mission selector, and built-in support for custom campaigns.
