Overview
The Axis Unseen is a heavy metal horror game set in a mysterious open world where you hunt folklore monsters using stealth or action, with immersion-focused UI and elemental arrows, magical abilities, and journals.
About the game
The Axis Unseen is a heavy metal horror game created by one of the developers of Skyrim and Fallout. It is set in a mysterious open world where you hunt monsters from folklore.
The game includes enhanced sense powers, elemental arrows, magical abilities, and journals from people who came before you. Almost all of the UI exists in the world itself, with information shown on the bow, hands, quiver, and tattoos.
Hunting can be approached as stealth or as action, depending on your preference. Creatures track you by sight, sound, and smell, and have specific weaknesses. The difficulty can be changed at any time, and there is a pacifist mode and a permadeath mode.
The music features original work by Clifford Meyer, previously of ISIS and Red Sparowes, and blends heavy metal with primitive instruments. The music dynamically adjusts to what is happening in the game.
