Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open

Adventure game where Ting sees spirits, befriends ghost Xiu, solves puzzles, navigates conversations and stealthily avoids dark spirits in a paper-theatre style story steeped in Malaysian tradition, culture and folklore.

Ting is a young girl who can see spirits. She forms a friendship with Xiu, a young ghost seeking peace, and must face challenges from both the real and spirit worlds while deciding whether her power is a gift or a curse.

The story spans five pivotal years of Ting’s childhood. Her supernatural abilities set her apart from her peers, and competing spirits will guide and mislead her as they pursue their own agendas.

To uncover the mystery at the heart of her journey, Ting must navigate difficult conversations, save lost souls, solve puzzles, and avoid dark spirits and other threats. She also has to deal with her family, which is on the verge of falling apart.

The game is presented in a living paper theatre style inspired by the Joss-Papercraft of Southeast Asia. It is steeped in Malaysian tradition, culture, and folklore, and is the next instalment of the Paper Ghost Stories series.
