Overview
Monospaced Lovers is a semi-hardcore platform-adventure with exploration-driven quests and puzzles, a visual novel-inspired story, and hand-painted, non-linear exploration in the quaint home town of Haven Heights.
About the game
Monospaced Lovers is a semi-hardcore platform-adventure game that defies the traditional Metroidvania formula. It combines exploration-driven quests and puzzles reminiscent of classic Zelda with a visual novel-inspired storyline.
The game features unconventional, metafictional puzzles and a story with a 100,000 word count. It includes comedy, drama, social anxiety, and philosophy, and drops the silent protagonist trope in favor of a heroine with her own personality and feelings.
Players can explore a hand-painted world, talk to the local Tanuki, learn to translate Slimespeak, and search a quaint hometown for all 60 collectibles. The game also includes non-linear, collectathon-style exploration, RPG-style story quests, and 4 bullet hell boss battles.
Clara wakes up to a phone that is not hers and finds a message from a hacker called the Gòd o͏f̴ B̴in͠a̸r̨y̧. Her only clue is a series of encrypted messages and a mysterious new friend who woke up to a phone that was not his.
