MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear’s Legacy

MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear’s Legacy is a story set after the Refusal War, following a new Ghost Bear warrior in the Inner Sphere as they repel mercenary raids and investigate who stole the genetic material of the Clan founders.

The story takes place after the Refusal War and follows a new Ghost Bear warrior living in the Inner Sphere. At first, the warrior repels raids by mercenaries, but becomes enraged when the Draconis Combine steals the genetic material of the Clan founders Hans Ole Jorgensson and Sandra Tseng.

The Ghost Bears send units to track down the culprits, but the matter proves more complex than expected. The Draconis Combine is framed for the raids, and the BattleMechs used were captured by Clan Smoke Jaguar several months earlier.

A search through the Clans follows, and it is discovered that the Smoke Jaguars lost the BattleMechs in a raid by Clan Wolf. After the Refusal War, Clan Wolf split into the Crusader faction under Khan Vlad Ward and the Warden faction.

Further investigation reveals that the Jade Wolves, two rogue Galaxy Commanders from the Crusader Clan Wolf, stole the material in the fake raid. The Wolves allow the investigating units to withdraw honorably, and the stage is set for the final battle.
