LEGO® The Lord of the Rings™

Action-adventure game set in Middle-earth, where players relive The Lord of the Rings story in LEGO mini-figures, exploring, solving riddles, and fighting foes.

Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, this game follows the story lines of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. It presents the events of the films with LEGO humor and variety.

Frodo is given the task of destroying an ancient magical ring and must leave his home. The journey to Mount Doom is dangerous, and a Fellowship is formed to help him, including Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Sam, Merry, and Pippin.

Players relive the story through LEGO mini-figures as they explore, solve riddles, and face enemies. They can explore Middle-earth, encounter creatures such as Orcs, Uruk-hai, the Balrog, and the Witch-king, and use items and weapons including Mithril, the Light of Earendil, Elven rope, swords, and bows.

Other features include the Palantír, which allows players to jump between multiple story lines, over 80 playable characters, and drop-in, drop-out gameplay for family and friends.
