La-Mulana

La-Mulana is an archaeological ruin exploration action game and free-roaming platformer where you guide an archaeologist through the ancient ruins of the Mayan city La-Mulana, solving mysteries, avoiding traps, and fighting monsters.

Lemeza Kosugi, an archaeology teacher, seeks out undiscovered ruins and their secrets. After receiving a note from his long-lost father saying he had found it, Lemeza sets out with his laptop and whip to search the ancient temple of La-Mulana.

The game is described as an “Archaeological Ruin Exploration Action Game” in the vein of classic MSX platformers. Players venture inside the ancient ruins of the Mayan city, seeking the Secret Treasure of Life while dealing with traps, monsters, mysteries, and hidden dangers.

It is a free-roaming platformer adventure with over 18 secret-filled unique areas to explore. It also includes weapons, sub-weapons, quest items, riddles, and the Hell Temple Time Attack.
