Levels are non-linear, so choosing a path affects how the game unfolds. If one route is difficult, another can be taken instead.

The story takes place in an alternate 1990s USSR, in the city of Mirnogorsk in Khakassia. A tragic accident brings Sergei, a utility worker, into the center of the disaster, and the world can be explored through clues, audio recordings, and other details.
