Highwater is a whimsical 3D adventure set in a flooded, post-apocalyptic world. It uses an isometric turn-based puzzle-combat system, with boat travel, island exploration, and new allies who join the journey.

The story takes place amid the Great Climate Catastrophe, in the flooded region of Hightower, which sits between the War Zone and the fortified city of Alphaville. With life on Earth becoming untenable and rumors of an escape to Mars, Nikos begins a risky journey toward Alphaville and beyond.

Along the way, Nikos and his friends battle insurgents, steal food, and try to sneak onto the rocket in time. The game mixes humor, friendship, and a melancholic atmosphere as players explore the water-filled environment.

Players can also interact with the environment during combat, using tactics and puzzle solving to gain the advantage. Highwater Pirate Radio provides original music and commentary during the journey.
