Hexen II is a dark fantasy first-person shooter and RPG developed by Raven Software and published by id Software in 1997. It is the third game in the Heretic/Hexen series and the conclusion to the Serpent Riders trilogy.
The story follows the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the last Serpent Rider, Eidolon. Players choose one of four classes: Paladin, Crusader, Assassin, or Necromancer, and must defeat dark generals and their Hell-spawned legions before facing Eidolon.
The game features distinct spells, powers, and 32 new weapons, along with experience and level progression that increase hit points and unlock abilities such as increased speed, firepower, and jump distance. It includes four demon-infested worlds with Medieval European, Ancient Egyptian, Mesoamerican, and Greco-Roman themes.
It also supports cooperative play and deathmatch for up to 16 players via LAN.
