Hellfire

Hellfire is a side-scrolling shooter where you pilot a space battleship against aliens, using four weapons in eight firing directions in a sci-fi war for the six stolen planets.

Hellfire is Toaplan’s first side-scrolling shooter. This PC port of the 1989 arcade title includes online leaderboards, arcade-accurate emulation, quick saves, and other quality-of-life features.

Players face aliens attacking from all directions and must use weapons strategically rather than relying on firepower alone. The game follows Captain Lancer and the rebelling forces as they try to regain six planets stolen by the Guild Empire.

Original features include four weapons with eight shooting directions, co-op mode, and a soundtrack by Tatsuya Uemura. The port also adds minimal input lag, rewind, mirror mode, replays, assist features, very easy mode, achievements, and practice mode.
