Furi Demake - The Chain

A retro-style 8-bit demake of a single boss fight, where you defeat The Chain to escape your jail by jumping, shooting, dashing, parrying and slashing in a side-scrolling mix of shoot’em up and hack’n slash.

This mini game is one boss fight. It is a 10 to 30 minute fight, or longer on Furier difficulty or when trying to get an S rank.

Defeat The Chain to escape your jail. You fight Furi’s first guardian in a fast-paced side-scrolling mix of shoot ’em up and hack and slash. The controls use jump, shoot, dash, parry, and slash, and the player must stay calm to evade attacks and counter at the right time.

The demake is presented as a love letter to 8-bit games, with simple controls, old-school pixel art, and music from ODD. It was reimagined as a gift to Furi’s community and is described as a collaboration with Sylph.
