Flying Shark

Flying Shark is a 1987 vertical shooter where you fly a plane, chase enemies off-screen, and use bombs and power-ups in a war-torn sky.

The enhanced edition of Toaplan’s 1987 vertical shooter includes online leaderboards, a beginner mode, CRT filters, and other quality-of-life improvements. It is presented as an enhanced version of Flying Shark, also known as Sky Shark.

The game uses off-screen action, letting you fly left and right to expand your field of vision beyond the screen borders and reveal hidden threats. You can chase enemies off-screen, use bombs wisely, and upgrade your plane with power-ups scattered through the stages.

Original features include two-player competition and striking visuals with highly detailed settings. The release also adds minimal input lag, quick save and reload, rewind, mirror mode, replays, assist features, achievements, and a practice mode.
