Cryogear is a Metroidvania-inspired pixel art platformer with souls-like mechanics set in an open sci-fi world. You control the newly repurposed clone G.3.4.R as you explore your surroundings, uncover secrets, and learn more about the Emperor AI.

Gameplay focuses on exploration and rewards curious, creative players with new items, abilities, and expanding possibilities. It combines platforming with exploration, shoot ’em up, and RPG elements, along with a full-scale inventory, equipment, skill, and crafting systems.

The world includes over 50 regions and more than 50 sci-fi themed areas, with obstacles, boss fights, enemy types, riddles, hidden areas, minigames, and loot. You can also use Psi powers, switch between active abilities and weapons, and customize your clone through different upgrade trees.

The setting includes destroyed cities, abandoned wastes, and factories in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future devoid of organic life. Players can run, jump, dive, fly, hack, freeze, and slide through the environment while adapting to changing hazards and enemies.
