Cannon Fodder

Cannon Fodder is a military action game where you guide up to six conscripts through 24 missions and 72 levels, using guns, grenades, tanks and choppers across jungles, wastelands and deserts.

From a queue of about 360 conscripts, a team of up to six volunteers is sent on each mission. The player directs them through deadly missions, with orders to shoot, throw grenades, fire bazookas, drive tanks, fly choppers, split up, and act on their own.

The game includes 24 missions with 72 levels, an easy interface, and sound effects such as jungle noises, explosions, helicopter rotors, and dying screams. It also features five enemy types, including M-16 carrying grunts, snipers, copter commandos, jeep engineers, and artillery hot shots.

Levels take place across jungles, freezing wastelands, and deserts, with buildings to destroy along the way. Progression runs from private to four-star general, and the package includes an 8-minute cartoon introduction.
