Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

An action game set in a gothic universe, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain has you control the vampiric Kain as he seeks vengeance, kills guardians, and uses cursed abilities, spells, weapons, and armor.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for PC follows Kain, a nobleman revived as a vampire by the necromancer Mortanius after being slain by bandits. Seeking vengeance, he is drawn into a larger plot involving the Pillars of Nosgoth and the corrupted Circle of Nine.

The story also introduces Ariel, a former guardian of the Pillar of Balance who appears as a spirit and tells Kain that restoring balance requires him to seek out and kill each guardian. The fate of Nosgoth may depend on his decisions.

It is an action game in which the player controls Kain, who can withstand sunlight but is harmed by water. He can learn cursed abilities and spells, including transforming into a bat, wolf, or cloud mist, and disguising himself from weaker creatures.

Kain can drink blood from slain enemies to restore health, which constantly trickles away, and he can equip different weapons and armor with unique properties. The game also features cinema-quality voice-overs, dynamic lighting effects, and more than 25 minutes of full-motion-video footage.
