Black Academy is a side-scrolling shooter roguelite where magical girls collect spells, level up, and fight devils in a school run by devils.

Black Academy is an institution that forces its students to work, with unfair treatment by seniors, overtime every day, and teachers giving private errands to students. The students were inspired by the magical world and became magical girls.

This is a side-scrolling shooter and roguelite. Players collect various spells on different maps, level up to slay devils, and choose spells that match their play style.

Power-up items can change magical spells into different shapes and forms, and new spells can be found and checked as they level up. The game also includes residents with their own stories, who came into the devils’ barrier and help you clock out.

Devils consume the dark emotions created by work and try to use powerful stress to rule the world. Players must get the devils’ attacks under control and step closer to clocking out.
