Betrayer is a first-person action adventure game set in the New World at the turn of the 17th century. In 1604, you sail from England expecting to join a struggling colony on the coast of Virginia, but find only ghosts and mysteries.

You must piece together what happened to the doomed settlement and search for survivors. As you explore an expansive wilderness, you are hunted by corrupted Conquistadors and ravening shadows.

The game features large open environments, two distinct worlds with different enemies and threats, and early 17th century weapons such as muskets, bows, crossbows, and tomahawks. It also includes movement-based stealth and Charms that can enhance health, movement, or stealth.
